Vegetation at the site consisted of <br />sagebrush, rabbitbrush, prickly pear, and Indian ricegrass. <br />The current inventory found that the site continues to deteriorate. The feature was relocated during <br />the current evaluation. A faint stain was visible along with reddened sandstone fragments, and it <br />continues to erode downslope to the east and north with the rest of the artifacts. <br />NRHP Eligibility Recommendation and Project Effect Site 5MF1936 has been determined by <br />the Colorado OAHP to be officially not eligible for inclusion on the NRHP. The artifact scatter and <br />hearth feature and related heat - altered rock consist of a surface manifestation that lies on a residual <br />surface that continues to erode.
