340 Class III Inventory, Colowyo's Coliom Mine Project <br />September 1986 by WAC for the Sonics Exploration Hayden Project. It was described in 1983 as <br />an isolated dugout mid stone foundation located on the upper west edge of the pasture along the west <br />side of the West Fork of Jubb Creek at 6,840 ft (2,085 m) (Figure 6.209). Soils were characterized <br />as light brown to brown sandy clay loam with few gravels. Vegetation consisted of rabbitbrush, <br />sagebrush, greasewood, and various grasses, withjuniper and Gambel oak to the east along the West <br />Fork of Jubb Creek; wild rose was noted growing profusely inside the structure. <br />The site consisted of partially collapsed stone foundation walls that were 22 ft northwest/southwest <br />x 20 ft northeast /southwest with a doorway at the north end ofthe east wall. The walls were partially <br />extant and ranged in height from 5 ft 6 inches along the east wall to 4 ft 6 inches along the west wall. <br />The walls were about 16 inches thick and made of locally obtained sandstone blocks mortared with <br />mud. Soils had aggmded to a depth of 2 ft 6 inches above the floor. There was no roof or door nor <br />any decaying building materials lying within or outside the building.
