to the mining and reclamation plan maps just to avoid possible confusion in the
This feature has been added to the Mining and Reclamation Maps. They are attached.
6.3.4 EXHIBIT D - Reclamation Plan
Need control methods are required to be used for all noxious weeds on site, and a generic
flan to control all noxious weeds should be included in all permit applications. If a specific
oxious weed species appears in the future, the plan may need to be modified to deal with
hat particular species at that time.
ogan County has a noxious weed spray program. Should noxious weeds be discovered at the
ite, Mr. Couch will either retain the Logan County Weed Spray program to control the noxious
eeds or the services of Mr. Ben Winemiller who assists him with the pit.
gain, I believe it may be worth pointing out for clarification that there is an existing pre-
ermit high-wall along the northeast side of the site that is outside the current permit
oundary and specify if this area will be impacted by proposed reclamation activities
ssociated with this permit.
here is a high wall that lies to the northeast side of the current permit boundary. When we
expand the pit approximately 200 feet to the east a portion of that high wall will be contained
ithin the new permit boundaries. We do plan to include that in our reclaimed area as we
?ontinue mining and move toward final reclamation.
?ne reclamation costs are still under review at this time. Your estimate appears to be well
prepared; however, the division is required to complete a separate bond estimate as well.
Once all adequacy issues are addressed, this will be completed.
e realize the division will prepare their cost estimate for final reclamation.
¢.3.5 EXHIBIT E - Map
he maps with the proposed permit boundary should be modified to show that the affected
t ea/permit boundary will not be within 200 feet of the ditches to the south of the site,
ess a damage waiver is obtained from the ditch owners. It would appear that this would
, quire the removal or modification of the "tail" on the south end of the proposed
.Te
?ermitted area. You may also want to take another look at the contouring on the
reclamation plan map - as submitted it would appear to be a "pit", but on-site it seems to
1- a more of a "ridge removal" with the ridge/high-wall on the north end of the site, but most
of the remaining area being at the same level as the access road. Otherwise - adequate as
2
