May Day and Idaho Mine Complex 112 (d) Permit Application
• Mill Retrofit requires no interim reclamation.
• Ore Stockpile Processing
The ore stockpiles located at:
• May Day No 2 bench (May Day No 2 Operational Area)
• Idaho No 1 bench (Idaho Operational Area)
• Lamb bench (Lamb Operational Area)
and will be processed in the mill, requiring no interim reclamation.
• Augmentation Pond Construction
The one acre foot augmentation storage pond will be constructed in an area identified on Figure
C -4 and summarized in Exhibit 6.5. Pond and stored rock disposal within the Idaho reclamation
area will be configured as illustrated on Figure F -4 (Exhibit F)
• Reclamation Activities for Little Deadwood Gulch at May Day No. 2 and Chief Operational
Areas will be reclaimed as outlined in Exhibit 6.5.
Phase 2 - Milling Optimization
• This activity is within the May Day No. 2 Operational Area and does not require interim reclama-
tion. Reclamation of this facility will be conducted during final closure.
• Proposed tailings storage in stope (i.e., underground) will not require reclamation.
Production Phase: May Day No 1. Operational Area
• Interim reclamation during this phase will consist of route maintenance of BMPs and weed con-
trol.
Exploration
Exploration will include 11 boreholes and their associated exploration roads as shown on Figure
C -4 (Exhibit Q.
Exploration activities will be limited to drill pads of dimensions 100' x 100' (10,000 sq ft each;
2.5 acres for 11 holes). One hole will be drilled at a time over a period estimated to be approx-
imately 90 days. Each borehole will be abandoned in accordance with State Engineers require-
ments prior to mobilizing to the next drill location. Re- grading and seeding of each drill pad will
commence as soon after abandonment as season and weather conditions permit. Exploration
roads will be permanent.
Production Expansion
• Based on the results of the exploration phase, the total operational area may be expanded. Interim
reclamation activities are not expected during this phase.
0 Milling Completion and Closure
May Day Idaho Mine Complex 112(d) Permit Application
September 21, 2010
15
