fence shall be installed at boundary of each phase to keep livestock from
entering pit and leaving property. Irrigation tail water shall be considered
and allowed to flow thru the pit area if necessary. Top soil stripping from
this phase shall be used to provide landscape berms on the north side of
the Basin Ditch for visual and noise suppression.
o Phase Two-To include area on south central side of permit area. This
phase is approximately 10 to 12 acres in size. All fencing and tail water
situations as described in Phase One shall be considered.
• Phase Three-To include area in south east corner of permit area. This
phase is approximately 10 to 12 acres in size. All fencing and tail water
situations as described in phase one shall be considered.
+ Phase Four- To include area in north central side of permit area. This
phase is approximately 10 to 12 acres in size. All fencing and tail water
situations as described in phase one shall be considered. Phase Four could
come before Phase Three if necessary.
o Phase Five- To include area in north east corner of permit area. This
phase is approximately 14 to 16 acres in size. All fencing and tail water
situations as described in phase one shall be considered.
Mining and Restoration of project.
Striping and stock piling of overburden
It generally should be assumed that stripping of subsequent phases will
happen when most of previous phase is mined. Striping from subsequent phases will be
used to start restoration of previous phases when possible. Overburden piles will be
properly sloped and re-vegetated with grasses to avoid dust and erosion. No roads will be
allowed in any phase prior to start of stripping of that phase. See Conceptual Phasing and
Reclamation Plan for berming and stock piling considerations.
Reclamation considerations
All existing top soil (12" to 18") will be separately stripped and stored for
final cover of site. All other overburden shall be separately stored for reshaping ofnained
areas. All areas that are reclaimed shall be re-vegetated with grasses and trees. All
reclaimed areas shall be provided with proper methods of delivery and coverage of
irrigation water (ie: sprinkler irrigation via a wheel roll sprinkler system or similar).
Service roads should be provided to access the perimeter of the site as well as access into
the floor from the existing main ranch area.
Intent of Final product
