approximately 125 feet from the original bypass outlet, rather than 50 feet as shown on
the original construction drawings. After removal of the lower 125 feet and approximately
ten feet from the upstream end, approximately 170 lineal feet of buried conduit remained
in place and was subsequently grouted solid. Sheet 2 of the As-Constructed drawings
shows the location of the conduit and filter diaphragm. Bypass conduit examination and
grouting reports are provided in Appendix E.
Elevation-Area-Capacity. Elevation-area-capacity data was determined from original
dam construction drawings from the 1960's. The reservoir will be flight surveyed after the
tailings removal program has been completed. Elevation-area-capacity data will be revised
using the new survey data to reflect actual reservoir conditions.
As-Constructed Documents
The approved design plans for the Eagle Park Reservoir Outlet Works have been
corrected to reflect the As-Constructed conditions. The As-Constructed drawings will be
submitted to the Office of the State Engineer with this completion report.
Certification
The Eagle Park Reservoir Outlet Works Installation was completed substantially in
accordance with the approved design plans and technical specifications. An engineer's
certification statement is enclosed in Appendix A.
Construction Reports
Site visits by Wheeler and Kumar personnel occurred during various stages of
construction. Periodic construction and testing reports were maintained by Wheeler. Daily
construction and testing reports were maintained by Kumar during reconstruction of the
embankment. Copies of the construction reports are enclosed in Appendix C.
Gradation analyses were performed upon two soil samples obtained from the
existing embankment.
