ameO
E) Low Volume Solution Collection System
1) Low Volume Solution Collection Piping
No work performed during the week.
2) Low Volume Solution Collection Fill (LVSCF)
No work performed during the week (see Figure 5 for previous LVSCF placement).
F) High Volume Solution Collection System
1) High Volume Solution Collection Piping
Placement of the high volume collection system continued at the DCF placement area shown
on Figure 6, advancing in front of the placement. CPeP was placed and sandbagged in
accordance with design drawings and project specifications. The primary geomembrane in the
area was accepted prior to pipe placement.
2) Drain Cover Fill (DCF)
DCF placement within the Phase 5 VLF began in the area show on Figure 6. The DCF was
hauled from the processing area to the placement area using CAT 740 haul trucks loaded by a
CAT 988 front-end loader. The DCF was placed in a 2-foot lift using a CAT D-6 LGP dozer, a
CAT D-7 LGP dozer and a CAT D-8 LGP dozer except where haul routes were established.
Haul routes consisted of five-foot lifts to be spread into 2-foot lifts later. Laborers were present
at all times during placement holding the high volume collection piping in place, removing
debris/sandbags, and assisting the dozer operator with lift thickness. DCF placement was also
performed during night shift using the same equipment and procedures. All DCF was placed
on previously approved primary geomembrane. AMEC field representatives monitored the
DCF placement constantly. Construction of the pipe corridor at the north toe berm began using
additional DCF to create a 15 foot bench.
G) Material Processing
1) East Cresson Clay Borrow Area
Clay processing is complete.

Location This Week
tons Cumulative
tons
Comments
E Cresson Clay Processing 0 198,028 Processing in area complete.
S Cresson Clay Process in 0 201,199 Processing in area complete.
Squaw Gulch Processing 0 35,816 Processing in area complete.
Total 0 430,432
2) Drain Cover Fill (DCF) Processing
Processing of DCF material continued this week using a CAT D-9 dozer.
Location This Week Cumulative Comments
(tons) (tons)
DCF Process 52,107 73,625
Total 52,107 73,625
VLF Weekly Report WE 08.07.10.D.docx
