B. Environmental /Weather <br />1. Do not install or place any frozen earthen material <br />2. Do not fill or backfill during freezing conditions <br />3. Do not allow storm water runoff to enter the trench excavation area <br />4. No work shall be performed if any environmental /weather conditions hinders <br />proper /correct construction methods, techniques and procedures <br />5. Construction during night operations shall only take place with proper illumination, <br />proper safety procedures and /or owner approves operations <br />1.7 SEQUENCING AND SCHEDULING <br />A. Discuss and inform owner of the sequencing of all construction activities <br />B. Provide owner with a detailed schedule of construction <br />C. Maintain communication with owner to insure construction activities do not interfere with <br />daily facility operations <br />1.8 WARRANTY <br />A. Once construction is complete the Contractor shall provide owner with a minimum of a <br />one year warranty against any settlement due to construction and shall be repaired <br />accordingly <br />PART 2 — PRODUCTS <br />2.1 MATERIALS <br />A. Classification of Excavated Material <br />1. No Classification of excavation will be made <br />2. Excavation and trenching work shall include the removed and subsequent handling of <br />all materials excavated or otherwise removed in performance of the contract work, <br />regardless of the type, character, composition or condition thereof <br />B. Topsoil <br />1. Native material removed and stock piled prior to excavation <br />2. Shall be fertile, friable, natural topsoil of loamy character and characteristic of locality <br />3. Shall be capable of growing healthy horticultural crops or grasses <br />4. Eliminate foreign materials, such as trash, weeds, roots, stones, subsoil, frozen clods, <br />and similar foreign materials larger than '/z cubic foot in volume, from soil as it is <br />stockpiled <br />C. Pipe Embedment <br />1. Select backfill material <br />a. Job site excavated material <br />b. Free from rock or gravel larger than 3 inches in any dimension, debris, waste, <br />frozen materials, vegetation and other deleterious matter <br />c. Select backfill material shall be carefully compacted in accordance with pipe <br />312333 -3 <br />
