Negotiate owner supplied or contractor supplied item prior to construction <br />1.5 PRODUCT DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Stockpiling Suitable Materials <br />1. Stockpile topsoil suitable for final grading and landscaping and excavated material <br />suitable for backfilling or embankments separately on the site in approved locations <br />2. Stockpiling of any necessary imported bedding material shall be stored separately <br />from bedding material on site <br />B. Stockpile Locations <br />1. Store excavated and other material a sufficient distance away from the edge of any <br />excavation to prevent its falling or sliding back into the excavation and to prevent <br />collapse of the wall of the trench <br />C. Excess Materials <br />1. Be responsible for the transport and disposal of surplus excavated material and <br />excavated material unsuitable for backfilling or embankments to locations directed by <br />owner <br />1.6 SITE CONDITIONS <br />A. Actual Conditions <br />1. Make any geotechnical investigations deemed necessary to determine actual site <br />conditions <br />2. Underground and above ground obstructions known to the Engineer are shown on the <br />drawings. The locations shown may prove to be inaccurate or other obstructions not <br />shown may be encountered <br />3. Contact local utility notification center for utility locate prior to construction <br />4. Use extreme care while excavating around any utilities <br />5.
