A: At this time, we are only requesting a Phase A mining plan, if a Phase B mining <br />plan is necessary in the future we will submit for your approval a mining and <br />reclamation plan for Phase B. <br />13.) It appears the topsoil and overburden stockpiles will be in place for over one <br />growing season before it is re-spread on a reclaimed area. Please explain how it will be <br />protected from wind and water erosion? The Division recommends seeding the <br />stockpiles will a cover crop, such as western wheatgrass. <br />A: We will seed the stockpiles with a cover crop. <br />14.) Will the grass seed mixture be planted with a grass drill, broadcast seeder or by <br />another means? If the seed mixture will be broadcast seeded the seeding rate proposed <br />by the applicant will need to be doubled. <br />A: We will seed with a grass drill. <br />15.) This map must be signed by the registered land surveyor, professional engineer or <br />qualified person who prepared it. <br />A: Please see attached revised map. <br />16.) Please indicate on the map the date the map was prepared. <br />A: Please see attached revised map. <br />17.) Please indicate on the map what scale was used to create the map. <br />A: Please see attached revised map. <br />18.) Please portray the proposed land use for the entire affected land. This can be a <br />simple note stating the site will be reclaimed to rangeland. <br />A: Please see attached revised map indicating the mine will be restored to <br />rangeland. <br />19.) Where will the water be obtained for the operation? Please specify the source of the <br />water and provide documentation the water is allowed to be used for this type of <br />operation. <br />A: The well that we will be obtaining water from is located on the Sikes Property <br />approximately 3/4 miles to the north of the mine in Section 7, Township 33 South, <br />Range 50 West, 6c" pm. The well is located 234 feet North and 1288 feet west of the <br />Section Line. We have applied for a commercial well source permit. Please see <br />attached.
