• DILL PIT
Exhibit C
6.3.3 The mining Plan for the Dill Pit is as follows, (please also see map).
a) Specify the estimated dates that mining will commence and end: Present plans
are for mining to start in the 2nd Qtr of 2010 after permit approval. The 9.9 acre deposit
will have a life span depending on the amount of time needed to remove the deposits. The
life of this 110 permit area is dependent upon the demand and the population growth in
the local area. This pit will be used for road base for the local gravel roads and State
Highways and for structural fill material in the area. Also, construction aggregates will
be sold in the area for private drive-ways and other construction activities.
b) The depth of plant growth medium to be salvaged for reclamation will vary
from 6" to 12". Although it is a sandy-loam topsoil it is an adequate growth medium.
Established topsoil stockpiles will be saved on site and moved only when needed to
prepare the site for seeding. Topsoil stockpiles will be seeded with 7#/PLS per acre of
Western Wheatgrass and/or surrounded by silt fencing to reduce the chance of erosion.
Plant growth stockpiles will be located separate from other stockpiles (which will be
product) out of the way of mine traffic and stream channels or drainage-ways. The
• location of plant growth medium stockpiles are shown on Exhibit "E" map.
c) The overburden depth varies from 12" to 4 feet; however, most of this material
will be sold either as a road base or as structural fill and will be used on the site for final
slope construction. There is no waste rock in this deposit. There will be no waste rock or
overburden piles to be shown on the map.
