6.4.18 - Exhibit R - Proof of filing with County Clerk: Proof supplied 4/15/09. <br />Please provide the date that updated materials received 211612010 were delivered to <br />Montrose County Clerk. <br />6.4.19 - Exhibit S. Permanent Man-made structures appear to be identified <br />DMO Environmental Protection Plan <br />6.4.20 - Exhibit T. DMO Environmental Protection Plan <br />(1) Per HB-2008-1161 all uranium mines are Designated Mining Operations. <br />Based on the nature of the mining operation the mine portal, associated <br />dumps, stockpile area, and drill areas must be included in the Environmental <br />Protection Plan. <br />(2) EPP Maps <br />Please provide a list of all maps, subject and there location within the application <br />exhibits or appendices. <br />(3) Other Agency protection measures and monitoring <br />BLM measures are noted as being general. Please provide documentation from <br />BLM of approval. If BLM has not approved, Nuvemco must submit letter within <br />five working days of receipt for inclusion into this section. <br />(4) Other Permits and Licenses <br />Please provide documentation that EPA Radon Emissions Modeling, under the <br />National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants, is not required. <br />(5) Designated Chemical Evaluation. <br />It is noted that no designated chemicals are noted for use on site. <br />(6) Uranium Handling <br />(a) Please clarify: What procedures for the disposal, decommissioning, <br />detoxification or stabilization of the permit area will be undertaken to bring <br />the site back to background levels for radiation emissions. <br />(b) Please clarify: <br />• Will there be high and low grade ore stockpiles? <br />• What is the general grade for separation of ore from waste? <br />• What is the fate of any uranium bearing materials not considered ore? <br />• Commitment that no ore will be left on the surface for any period of <br />inactivity or temporary cessation. <br />• How will the applicant monitor radiation levels on site to ensure that no <br />adverse impacts occur? <br />(c) Please see attached "Memo from DRMS Geochemist David Bird" regarding SPLP <br />testing review. <br />(7) Facilities Evaluation: <br />Please see Memo from "DRMS Engineer Allen Sorensen" regarding facilities <br />evaluations. <br />Clearly address sections "a through f" of this section.
