The only recommendation currently not fulfilled is the actual placement of the new prisms. The
prisms will be installed within the next couple of days per the manufacturers' recommendations.
The location of the prisms is noted in Photo 2 included in the body of the report.
Sara Nation, principal, PreSeis Tek, will be on site the day of the blast. She will place and
monitor four separate seismographs at the locations designated on Photo 1. The DRMS will be
provided copies of the printed report provided by her company. I have included their; company
brochure, Document 2, in this letter. This monitoring plan is being implemented to insure the
DRMS limits of vibration of 0.5 inches per second are not exceeded.
Structures to be monitored are #1 Public Swimming Pool, #2 Pikeview Office, #3 Closest Private
Residence, #4 Closest Private Residence north in Ptarmigan Valley.
The following government agencies have been or will be notified prior to the blast. Colorado
Mountain Reclamation Foundation, US Forest Service, Colorado Springs City Council, El Paso
County Commissioners, City of Colorado Springs Police Department, City of Colorado Springs
Fire Department.
TIMETABLE: The blast will occur between 2:00 and 4:00 PM MST on Friday, February 26,
2010.
Photo 1
