STORMWATER MANAGEME. .'PLAN 2/20/09
Maryland Creek Ranch
SEDIMENT AND EROSION PREVENTION
(SWMP TRAINING)
1. Mining activities will take place within the pit area, so any stormwater runoff within the pit
will stay in the pit.
2. Stormwater runoff from raw material stockpiles, product stockpiles, equipment storage
and maintenance areas, equipment wash area, employee parking, the concrete and
asphalt plants is contained within the processing area.
3. The permitted discharge points (noted on the site map) are visually inspected regularly
to ensure the water leaving the site is clear of any sediments.
4. Topsoil and overburden stockpiles will be seeded and revegetated to prevent erosion.
5. Stormwater collected in various settling ponds and retention/detention areas, will have
sufficient residence time to allow for settling of sediment.
6. The haul roads are stabilized by applying water and compaction with truck traffic.
14
