EMPLOYEE EDUCATION <br />2/20/09 <br />The SWMP Administrator or designated personnel will review the components and goals of the <br />SWMP with all personnel to ensure the operation is being conducted in compliance with the <br />SWMP. Employees will receive a review of the SWMP at least twice each year, in the spring <br />and fall. New employees will receive training related to the components and goals of the SWMP <br />prior to 90 days, but usually within the first week. <br />Employee education programs which will be implemented as part of this SWMP review to inform <br />personnel at all levels of responsibility of the components and goals of the SWMP will include: <br />A. Spill Prevention and Response; <br />B. Good Housekeeping; <br />C. Material Management Practices; <br />D. Sediment and Erosion Prevention. <br />The following pages of training documents on the above topics will be included in SWMP <br />Employee Education. The pages can be copied and used repeatedly. Additional educational <br />programs and training may be added at any time. <br />Records of training will be kept with the SWMP and/or with other employee records related to <br />mine safety and health training. <br />10
