The Comprehensive Facility
Inspection form is used for internal record keeping purposes of the bi-annual Comprehensive
Facility Inspections. The information collected on this form will be summarized and used in the
Annual Report submitted to the CDPHE-WQCD. A copy will be kept on file with the SWMP
records.
The comprehensive facility inspection includes observation and inspection of the following:
- material handling areas, disturbed areas, areas used for material storage that are
exposed to precipitation, and other potential pollutant areas as noted in section 4.
- structural stormwater management measures, sediment and control measures, other
structural pollution prevention measures
- spill response equipment
If any incident or area of noncompliance is found during the inspection, it will be noted and
corrected as soon as possible. The SWMP will be revised as needed and any necessary
changes implemented in a timely manner.
6.13. ROUTINE SITE INSPECTION
Routine inspections of work areas are conducted at least daily by supervisors or designated
personnel as required by MSHA, and recorded on a Daily Workplace Inspection form. If any
incident or area of noncompliance with the SWMP is found during the inspection, it will be noted
and corrected as soon as possible.
A copy of the Daily Workplace Inspection form is included in the SWMP appendix for reference.
Completed forms are kept in the work areas and/or in the office.
6.C. INCIDENT INSPECTION
If a significant spill or other reportable discharge occurs, an Incident Inspection should be
conducted. The following information should be gathered: the spilled substance, quantity of the
spill, quality and quantity of stormwater which was affected, and corrective actions taken.
Copy and use the form, Incident Inspection, to record the information gathered about the
incident. A copy of the completed form will be kept with the SWMP records.
8
