Newly Reclaimed Sites:
Data was collected on four newly reclaimed well pads to evaluate the progress of the reclamation
effort. Well pads 93-44 and 4A-4V are within their third growing season since being reclaimed
and occupy the same disturbed area with no discernable boundary, thus, both were combined in
the data presented below. Likewise, well pads 93-3V and 4-2V occupy the same disturbed area
and were combined and both are within their second growing season since being reclaimed.
Well pads 93-44 and 4A-4V: The ground cover data in Table 6-15 is summarized by class of
vegetation and cover type from data presented by plant species or cover type in Table A5. The
biomass production data and species composition data presented in Table 6-16 is summarized by
type of vegetation for each plant species as shown in Table A5.
Table 6-16 - Biomass Production and Plant Species Composition for Well Pads 93-44 and
4A-4V, July 2009
Perennial
Grass
Perennial
Forbs
Annual Grass
Weedy Forbs
Shrubs
Total
2009 Biomass Production (lbs/ac)
2009 Similarity
2009 Native w/ 2009
Bio- Rangelan Native
mass d Rangeland
2009 Plant Species Composition (%)
2009 2009 Similarity
Species Native w/ 2009
Compositio Rangelan Native
n d Rangeland
42.83 53.58 -20.1%
141.94 32518 -56.4%
23.08 17.46
76.51
44.00
68.99
0.00
331.44
106.01 -27.8%
15.53 +64.7% 13.28 2.56
6.52 +90.5% 20.81 1.07
153.71 -100.0% 0 25.33
606.95 -45.4% 100.00 100.00
+24.4%
+80.7%
+94.9%
-100.0%
2009 Annual Report 23 of 33
The following tables compare the data collected in 2009 for well pad site 93-44 and 4A-4V to
data collected from nearby native rangelands in 2009.
