During the placement of backfill, soil will not be dropped onto the geomembrane
from a height greater than three feet. The soil will be pushed out over the
geomembrane in an upward tumbling motion. Soil will be placed from the bottom of
the slope upward. Suitable backfill, typically with rocks no larger than 0.5 inches in
diameter, will be used to prevent puncturing the liner. The backfill material will be
compacted with a smooth drum roller.
Denison will provide a certification by a professional engineer or other appropriately
qualified professional that will confirm that the facilities were constructed in
accordance with the approved design plan.
•
E
15-2
T:\64986-Denison Mines\Task Order 4 - EPP Sunday Mines Group-Van4\Sunday Mines Group\DRMS RTC and Revised EPP\FINAL DRMS Report - EPP Sunday Mines.doc
