be stabilized with a vegetative cover. This will minimize dust generated from the <br />stockpiles. <br />3. Water pollution controls. <br />There are no water body crossings. The drainage from the pad and surrounding ground will <br />be controlled with two sediment ponds and associated ditch work as described in Exhibit <br />8DD - Drainage and Sediment Control System Design. <br />The access road will be crowned and maintained to facilitate surface drainage and <br />minimize water ponding. Culverts will be placed in small drainages to reduce potential of <br />road eroding and contributing suspended solids to drainage. <br />4. Noise abatement techniques: <br />The ventilation return shaft will be equipped with a centfrigul -type exhaust fan. A noise <br />silencer will be designed to work with either fan type. <br />Hours of operation 24 -hours /day, 7- days /week <br />Distance 350 feet west of RCR 927 <br />Type of equipment Robinson or IAP fan with noise silencer <br />5. Landscaping, earth moving, visual screening plan and /or landscape plan. <br />The 18 Left shaft site is located on current pastureland. No landscaping or visual <br />screening is planned at this time. <br />Reclamation Plan <br />1 . Sketch of existing and final contours, retaining wall(s) and other structures. <br />The 18 Left shaft site and access road will be reclaimed in accordance with TCC's DMG <br />permit. The shaft will be plugged and sealed. The facilities and associated surface <br />equipment will be removed. Concrete pads will be broken up and the foundations <br />demolished to at least 20 feet below grade. Topsoil replaced over the pad footprint, and <br />the surface regarded to blend in with the surrounding terrain. Road surfacing materials and <br />culverts will be removed and disposed of off -site, and the surface regarded to blend in <br />with the surrounding terrain. <br />2. Proposed future land use(s) and its locations. <br />The 18 Left shaft site and access road will be returned to pastureland. The shaft site is <br />located approximately 5.4 miles west of the junction of Routt County Roads 33 and 27, in <br />all or part of Section 23, Township 5 North, Range 87 West, 6" PM. Refer to Exhibit A <br />Location Map. <br />3. Reclamation Plan including contours. <br />See response to item 1 above. <br />4. Landscape plan including plant materials. <br />The site is to be reclaimed with pastureland seed mixture. <br />5. Weed control plan per Weed Control Act of 1996. <br />
