B. Date of commencement. <br />It is planned to start the projects as soon as regulatory approval is obtained from the <br />various agencies. It is anticipated these approvals will be obtained by late April 2009. <br />9. Completion date. <br />This 18 Left shaft facility will be used until the mine has exhausted all of its reserves in <br />the Western Mining District. Presently, it is anticipated this will occur in the second <br />quarter of 2013, dependent upon mining conditions and annual sales. <br />10. Location of stockpiles for topsoil, overburden, etc, if any. <br />Topsoil will be stockpiled adjacent to the ventilation shaft pad as shown on Exhibit EX49- <br />F2. <br />11. Drainage control on site. <br />The drainage from the pad and surrounding ground will be controlled with two sediment <br />ponds and associated ditch work as described in Exhibit 81313 - Drainage and Sediment <br />Control System Design. <br />12. All roads to be used for project, and existing conditions of roads and anticipated, <br />improvements. <br />A 420' long by 40' wide access road will be constructed to the ventilation shaft, and its <br />design is presented in Exhibit 25Y. Otherwise, existing mine roads will be used and <br />maintained in accordance with TCC's DMG permit no. C -82 -056. <br />Environmental Analysis (Provide the following information for the checked items) <br />❑ Geologic hazards <br />❑ Mitigation techniques proposed for geologic hazards <br />❑ Hydrologic hazards <br />❑ Mitigation techniques for hydrologic hazards <br />❑ Wildlife impacts - Report from Division of Wildlife <br />❑ Suggested mitigation (from Division of Wildlife) <br />❑ Wildfire hazards (report from State Forester) <br />❑ Mitigation techniques for wildfire hazards <br />❑ Soils: Erosion control management practices - report from Soil Conservation Service <br />Petitioner shall provide a report on the following: <br />1 . Air pollution potential from facilities, roads and /or equipment. <br />TCC's existing facilities are permitted under Colorado Department of Public Health and <br />Environment's (CDPHE's) Air Pollution Control District Construction Permit NO. <br />931301204. The -18 Left intake and return shafts and associated access road will be <br />permitted through the CDPHE. <br />2. Air pollution controls on facilities, road and equipment. <br />The access road will be surfaced with durable material, and the infrequent use of the road <br />will minimize dust generation.
