MEETING MINUTES
Fire Mountain Canal/CWI
November 1, 1984, 1 p.m.
Representing Fire Mountain Canal: Charles Hallenbeck
Representiny CWI: Matt Sakurada and Jim Roberts
The meeting was held in order to answer any questions which arose after our
initial inform ational meeting with the Fire Mountain Canal Roard of ~irec-
turs. C, Hallenbeck stated that the Steven's Gulch diversion right would be
abandoned; but Terror Creek and Roatcap Creek rights are necessary, When in
ci:=umstances similar to last spriny, irrigation could continue below a
breach in the ditch bank and also those rights serve senior rights helow
Terror and Roatcap Creeks, permitting Fire Mountain Canal to use water from
the North Fork,
Matt explained that Lease C-37210 boundaries were designed to avoid any
undermining of Terror and Roatcap Creeks, and where these drainages were to
be undermined, overburden thickness values precluded any impact upon Fire
Mountain Canal's water rights. Hallenbeck questioned if CWI anticipated
using the Fire Mountain shares for replacement water. Matt informed him
that CWI will keep that water for orchard irrigation and not substitute Fire
Mountain shares for another water right. Charles said he did not have
further concern, but would like this information presented to the board.
Charles invited CWI to Fire Mountain Canal's November monthly meeting to
present these topics.
J VRr' yw
•
