MEETING NOTES <br />• FIRE MOUNTAIN CANAL AND COLORADO WESTMORELAP:D INC. <br />Water Replacement Plan <br />October 11, 1984 <br />CWI representatives: Ron Stucki, Ftatt Sakurada, and Jim Roberts. <br />Fire Mountain Canal Ben Sheldon, Shirley Smith, Arvin Stahl, Chuck Fanner, <br />representatives: Phil Woodruff, and Charles Hallenbeck. <br />Ron Stucki introduced the attendants and explained the purpose of the <br />meeting as informational for Fire Mountain Canal, Jim Roberts briefly des- <br />cribed the hydrologic setting with respect to the Orchard Valley Mine opera- <br />tion. <br />Matt Sakurada reviewed the status of Fire fountain Canal's water rights and <br />stated that CWI did not know the status of these water rights. Because of <br />' the unknown status, no specific plan could be submitted, Repair of the <br />watershed in all instances would be completed, Charles Hallenbeck replied <br />that some decrees are in the process of review by the State Water Engineer <br />and that Tire NAUntain Canal is protesting the abandonment proceedings. <br />Rur~ described possible water protection measures such as conveyance improve- <br />. meats, subsidence effect, and repair, etc. Ron asked.P~att to give the group <br />a copy of the water replacement plan, <br />The Fire Piuuntain Canal members elected Charles Hallenbeck to comment and <br />review the plan, Additional copies of the water replacement plan will he <br />mailed to the other members on October 12, 19R4. <br />The meeting adjourned at approximately ]0:30 p.m, <br />I • <br />JVR/jw <br />
