1
All drilling will be diamond drill core top to bottom. Hole depths will be
from 200 to 2000 feet. Core will be stored, evaluated, and processed at the
Ruby Trust Mine and Mount Sneffels Mining Company assay lab in Ouray.
All fuel, oil, grease, and drilling supplies will be brought to each site as
needed in pickups. No on -site storage of these materials will occur. A few drill
holes may require drilling mud or soap. This material will be brought to the site
as needed and will not be stored on site.
Bunkhouse, water, cooking, showers, and toilet facilities will be available
to all drillers at the Ruby Trust Mine. Most drill rigs are manned by a driller and
a helper during each 8 hour shift. With four rigs running around the clock, 8
man crews will be assigned to each drill with 2 shift supervisors and 2
mechanics. Total manpower will be between 35 to 40 people.
Casing may need to be set at the surface to control unconsolidated
surface material. Core size will be 2 to 3 inch. Overall hole diameter will be less
than 5 inches. During drilling, all water and cutting returns will be contained in
tanks and /or pits. If pits are used they will be lined. No drill cuttings or water
from drilling will be allowed to enter the surface drainage. Cuttings will be saved
and used in the final cement plugging of the drill holes. Drill water used will
come from the Ruby Trust Mine potable water source. When drilling is
completed at each site, the surface casing will be removed and the hole will be
cemented from top to bottom. This plugging will occur after all core from the
9
