S
permitted Ruby Trust Mine site. Several drill holes will be drilled from each site.
The exact number of drill holes will depend on results of the drilling.
The exploration program will begin as early in 2010 as possible and will
take three to four years to complete, depending on the length of each summer
season. As Ouray County opens roads into Yankee Boy and Governor Basins,
site prep and drilling will begin. Mount Sneffels Mining will not plow snow to
enable site preparation to begin sooner.
Drilling will begin as soon as the areas are open and freely accessible.
Four drill rigs will be employed running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The drills
used will be Longyear 44, 38, 34 and /or LF 90 and LM 70 and /or Atlas Copco CS
1000 and CS 14. Each drill will have the necessary equipment needed to
accomplish the drilling (pumps, truck & skid mounted water tanks, rods, etc).
Drills used will depend on the drilling company chosen. Drills will be truck
mounted and skid mounted. Several drilling companies are available in the area
(San Juan Drilling, Core One Drilling, Godbe Drilling, Kutchler Drilling, Connors
Drilling). All of these companies have on hand or can obtain the equipment
needed to complete the job.
Several of the proposed drill sites and access roads may not be feasible
due to steep terrain or rock outcropping. Helicopter support will be used to
complete drilling at these sites. The Ruby Trust Mine site will be used as a
helicopter staging area.
2
