Backfilling and Grading <br />The Ash Pit was in the process of backfilling at the time of the inspection. No problems were noted in <br />the area of the Ash Pit or the area of future Ash disposal. The area of F -AB -09 has been backfilled <br />and graded to AOC. This area was stable with drainage ditches in place and no problems noted <br />Explosives <br />One parting shot blast was conducted at K Ridge during the inspection of the site. Warnings were <br />given at 10 minute, 5 minute, 3 minute and 30 second intervals before the blast with an all clear <br />noticed given at the conclusion of the blast. No problems were noted. <br />Support Facilities <br />The facilities areas of the office and maintenance buildings were in compliance with no problems <br />noted. The area in and around the ANFO and Emulsion tanks was stable with no problems noted at <br />the time of the inspection. The Ready Line Area approved in PR -06 was stable. Electrical <br />transformers were being off loaded during the inspection. The concrete for the new fuel area is <br />complete. <br />Topsoil <br />Topsoil stockpiles were located in the permitted locations. Topsoil stockpiles were marked and <br />exhibited good vegetation cover with no erosion characteristics evident with the exception of the <br />following: <br />• The large relocated topsoil pile west of the A -Pit and the two topsoil piles along the south ridge <br />of F -Pit and Z -Pit will require topsoil markers as well as grading, shaping and revegetation <br />upon completion of the piles. <br />Topsoil depths were measured in the area of F- AB -09. Five measurements were taken in five <br />different locations. The average topsoil depth was 13.5 ". <br />General Mine Plan Compliance <br />The area of Horse Gulch permitted under PR -06 continues to progress with topsoil striping complete <br />and underdrain construction underway close to completion. This area is the future location of the <br />
