j. Use of water will be metered to ensure that landowners comply with water rights <br />of 5 cubic feet of water per second of time. <br />k. No toxic producing materials will be utilized for mining. <br />1. A stable configuration or hydrologic balance will be achieved by 3:1 back sloping <br />of the pit faces on all sides. Surface water will infiltrate into the terrace alluvial <br />deposits at the edge of the pit and is presumed to flow into the Piedra River as <br />subsurface flows. Stormwater BMPs will be utilized to prevent any runoff <br />affecting ofd site locations. <br />in. The deposit will be processed on-site at the southern portion of the project area by <br />a portable screener and a portable crusher. Material will be handled by a <br />bulldozer and front-end loader and transported to temporary stockpiles and load <br />trucks. No chemicals will be utilized. <br />n. The primary and secondary commodities to be mined are gravel and sand for road <br />base and fill material. <br />o. No expected incidental products will be utilized from the gravel pit with the <br />exception of topsoil that will be used at various places on the ranch. <br />p. No explosives will be utilized.
