3 <br />Plugging. Drill holes found to be dry shall be backfilled with drill cuttings; any excess <br />cuttings or cutting from wet holes shall be scattered and dispersed to a thickness that will allow <br />existing vegetation impacted by the cuttings to survive. <br />All drill holes will be plugged at the surface with a minimum of five feet of cement. Drill holes <br />encountering ground water shall be plugged from 50 feet below to 50 feet above the water zone <br />using one of the following: <br />a. Cement <br />b. Abandonment mud having the following characteristics at a minimum: <br />1. 55 seconds marsh funnel viscosity <br />2. Ten minute gel strength of at least 201bs./100 sq. ft. <br />3. Filtrate volume not to exceed 13.5 cc. <br />c. Sodium Bentonite Pellets <br />Drill Hole Markers. A permanent drill hole marker shall be set at each drill location, labeled <br />with the permanent drill hole ID number. <br />Reclamation. All disturbed surface shall be recontoured to blend with the adjacent terrain and <br />seeded with the following seed mixture. Compacted surfaces shall be scarified and seeded. <br />Application rates are for pure, live seed (PLS).
