4
Lewis Flax
Cedar Palmer Penstemon
Lutana cicer milkvetch
Rincon or native fourwing saltbrush
0.8
0.2
0.3
3.0
18.41bs. PLS/acre Total
Application rate is for broadcast seeding. Cover seed 1/2 to 1 inch deep with a harrow or drag
bar. Seeding must be completed after August 15 and prior to January 1, 2010. The area is
considered to be satisfactorily reclaimed when:
A. Soil erosion resulting from the operation has been stabilized.
B. A vegetative cover at least equal to that present prior to disturbance and a plant
species composition at least as desirable as that present prior to disturbance has been
established. Establishment of all the species in the seed formula will be considered as
meeting the composition/desirable species criteria.
Additional work shall be required until these conditions are satisfied.
Surface Water Resources. If water is required for drilling operations and pumped from area
streams, rivers, ponds or lakes, a screen shall be required at the inlet of the suction hose to
prevent intake of aquatic life.
Ground Water Data. BLM recommends that data be collected on any water-bearing zones,
including any ground water encountered in the ore-bearing sandstones of the Morrison
Formation. The baseline data would be used for evaluation of impacts on ground water from
future mining, review of water discharge permits, and ground water inventory purposes.
For each drill hole, the following information should be recorded for each water zone
encountered:
1. Depth and thickness of water-bearing zone
2. Inflow rates (gpm) for each water zone
3. Static water level if possible
It would be helpful if the data was shown on a lithologic or geophysical log to facilitate
correlation of water zones. In order to characterize background water quality, you may wish to
collect a water sample. If sampling is conducted, the sample should be collected from each
water zone in at least one of the holes.
Abandonment Report. An abandonment report containing the following information shall be
submitted to BLM within 30 days following completion of the drilling.
