Regular Board of County Commissioners Meeting - Grand County, Colorado <br />May 19, 2009 <br />Page 4 of 18 <br />for personal use. The zoning for the area is Forestry/Open and Tourist. Commissioner Newberry stated that <br />there may be some damage to County Road 5 because the logs are being moved around. Sheriff Johnson <br />received complaints over the loading and unloading of logs on County Road 5 and County Road 522 by <br />Tabernash. <br />Commissioner Newberry stated that he understood that Sheriff Johnson went back to the property regarding the <br />blocking of the road. Sheriff Johnson will be taking care of the road being blocked. Commissioner Newberry <br />stated that there is a concern for junk and a junk violation concern was expressed to him. <br />Ms. Manguso stated that she did not see any junk. There is an operating mill at the site. <br />Mr. DiCola stated that he understood that log storage on property is fine. <br />Mr. DiCola stated that if staff feels like the property owner is in violation of the zoning and it is not a use by <br />right and needs a Special Use Permit, the County will serve a notice of cease and desist on the owner of the <br />property. <br />Board Business/Correspondence <br />Commissioner Bumgarner moved to grant $3,000 out of District 3 Conservation Trust Fund money to the <br />Kremmling Little League for the completion of a concession stand renovation and scoreboard installation. <br />The motion passed unanimously. <br />Chairman Stuart asked staff to check with Nick Mezei regarding wetland disturbance at the Hillside of Pine <br />Beach Subdivision. <br />Calendar <br />May 20 QQ Board Meeting in Silverthome from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to discuss the Colorado River <br />Basin Proposal <br />Idaho Springs meeting with Commissioners at 8:00 a.m. <br />Board of Adjustment meeting in the Board room at 5:00 p.m. <br />May 22 Annual opening of Trail Ridge Road at 10:00 a.m. at the Alpine Visitors Center <br />Elected Officials lunch at Mavericks at noon <br />May 23 Elected Officials Lunch at 12:30 p.m. at Mavericks <br />West Grand School District graduation at 10:00 a.m. <br />May 30 Granby Library celebration at 11:00 to noon at the Granby Library <br />June 6 Wildfire Workshop <br />June 8 - 10 Annual CCI Summer Conference <br />June 10 - 12 Court Security meeting in Montrose <br />June 25 Irrigators meeting from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Extension Hall in Kremmling <br />July 23 - 24 Colorado Water Workshop in Crested Butte <br />Remodel Issues <br />Todd Ficken presented the Board with PCOs for Board approval. <br />Commissioner Newberry moved to approve PCO #57 in the amount of $476 to install electrical data drops in <br />the Assessor's Office. <br />The motion passed unanimously. <br />Commissioner Newberry moved to approve PCO #58 in the amount of $479 to install two electrical outlets and <br />two data conduit and boxes on the south wall of room number 106. <br />The motion passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Ficken stated that Teri Ficken is working on the final drawings for the Board's table.
