ANA
ame
Earth 8 Environmental
over the entire surface a minimum of four passes. Ambient temperatures were observed
throughout the shift. No frozen fill was placed.
2) LOB Conveyor Corridor/Transfer Station
Structural fill placement and site grading was completed for the Conveyor 2 Corridor.
Structural fill material was hauled from the LOB Delivery Road cut using 40-ton articulating
haul trucks and spread in 18" to 24" lifts (depending on rock size) using a CAT D-6 dozer.
Compaction was performed using a CAT 563 vibratory smooth drum roller passing over the
entire surface of each lift a minimum of 4-passes. This process was performed in accordance
with the method specification and a previously established test fill. Ambient temperatures
were observed during fill placement. No frozen fill was placed.
Site grading and minor Structural Fill was completed at Transfer Station #6 pad using one
CAT D-6 dozer. Compaction was performed using a CAT 563 vibratory smooth drum roller
passing over the entire surface of each lift a minimum of 4-passes. Ambient temperatures were
observed throughout the shift. No frozen fill was placed.
C) LOB Pad Structural Fill
Structural Fill from the LOB Delivery Road cut between stations 29+00 (+/-) and 23+00 (+/-)
was placed on the LOB Pad using articulating 40-ton haul trucks. Structural Fill was placed in
18" to 24" lifts (based on rock size). Field observations indicate there is greater than 30% rock
retained on the 1/4 -inch sieve. Moisture conditioning of the fill was performed using a CAT
773 water truck. Each lift was compacted with a smooth drum vibratory roller a minimum of 4-
passes over the entire surface as per the method compaction technique. Fill placement was
completed to elevation 10,055 (+/-) for the planned LOB footings. Additional structural fill
was placed, moisture conditioned and compacted around the perimeter of the LOB nearing
grade elevation of 10,060. Ambient temperatures were observed throughout the shift. No
frozen fill was placed.
D) MSE Walls
1) MSE Wall
No work performed during the week
E) Miscellaneous
No work performed during the week.
II) Underground Working
A) Drilling
No work performed during the week.
B) Mine Shaft/Stope Remediation
Underground working 2036, and 2040 located within the planned LOB Conveyor Transfer Station
#5: The shaft and slope was exposed for inspection. Work is planned to start next week as per the
Remediation Plan, Conveyor Pad No. 5-Shaft 2036, Dated 7 April 2009.
Sheet 2 of 8
LOB Weekly Report WE 05.16.09.D.doc
