1. Hours and days of operation shall be 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. <br />Monday through Saturday, with blasting allowed only between <br />8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday whenever <br />necessary, with maintenance work or emergency response <br />mining permitted on different hours and on Saturday and/or <br />Sunday, if necessary. <br />2. On Monday through Friday, between the peak hours of 7:00 to <br />7:30 a.m. and 4:00 to 4:30 p.m., no clay hauling trucks <br />shall enter or leave the mine via the D.O.E. road. During <br />all other operating hours, no more than six clay hauling <br />trucks per day shall enter or leave the mine Monday through <br />Friday. <br />3. On Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to <br />8:00 a.m. and between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. only 4 gravel <br />hauling trucks per hour will be allowed to leave the mine <br />via the main access road. During all other operating <br />hours, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 12 <br />gravel hauling trucks per hour will be allowed to leave the <br />mine. This total amounts to 120 trucks per day leaving the <br />mine, and includes the clay hauling trucks. <br />4. The operator, to the extent possible, is to provide <br />screening of the site from the highway by natural <br />screening, "berming", and the use of stockpiling to <br />minimize the visual impact of the mine operation from the <br />surrounding landowners and users. <br />5. Any structure, machinery, or any other equipment associated <br />with the mine shall be hidden from public view to the <br />greatest extent possible. <br />6. The subject property is owned by the Department of Energy, <br />and is completely fenced. The applicant shall provide <br />safety and security fencing along the west side of the <br />mining operation from the south side of the Church Pit <br />(M79-1-A-1) mining operation and shall ensure that the <br />fencing along the west, north, and east sides of the mining <br />operation is maintained. The applicant will further <br />outline the total area of 223.43 acres with posts to <br />designate all sides of the mining activity. The applicant <br />shall maintain this fencing throughout the life of the <br />mining operation. The operator shall post the perimeter of <br />4
