The road was
left in place as access for adjacent property owners. The length of the road is
approximately 1300'.
Design and Construction -The road generally follows the original topography of the
area with very little cut and fills. The grade on the road range from 1-10%. The width of
the road is 20'.
Drainage -Drainage control for this road is included in the North Decline reclamation
area drainage system. Ditches are maintained along both sides of the road. Runoff
from all but the area below the Pond 5 is routed into Pond 5. One 12" CMP culvert
drains runoff from the disturbance area east of the road into Pond 5 and one 12" CMP
culvert drains water from the emergency spillway on Pond 5 to the gully east of the
road.
Surtacing -The road had little or no roadbase and a minimal amount of 3/4 roadbase
gravel on the surface.
Maintenance -Minor grading may be done on the road to eliminate ruts and to promote
drainage.
Structure Location Construction Dates
Access Road 3 South Fan 1983 ~ 1992
{Formerly Access Exhibit 57
Road #8)
Description -This road provides access to the South fan remote operations areas of
Roadside South Portals. The road extends from asemi-public road near the Palisade
Water treatment plant to the fan site via a 900' fork off light use road 6.
• Design and Construction -The road was an existing BLM access road that followed
the existing topography with very minimal grading. The road is one lane with widths
from 10-15'. Minor grading and drainage control was done on this road in 1992. The
fork into the fan site was built in 1983 and follows the existing topography with very
minimal grading. The road is one lane with a 10-12' width.
