COR-040000 Stormwater Management Plan
Routine cleanup is scheduled and conducted for all storage, shop, and work areas to
minimize hazardous conditions. Specific items addressed as part of the good housekeeping
program are discussed below.
General - the following work practices are, or will be, followed whenever possible:
• Garbage and waste materials are picked up and disposed of regularly.
• Dry and clean floors and ground surfaces in the storage building and shop will be
maintained using brooms, shovels, and other cleaning equipment.
• Pollution prevention concepts are provided through training workshops.
Material Storage - Storage areas are maintained in a manner to avoid damage and spills.
Movement of materials in and out of storage locations will be performed by properly trained
and responsible employees. The following storage practices are, or will be, followed
whenever possible:
• Where practical, material storage will take place indoors, in a safe and sanitary fashion.
• Material that cannot be stored indoors will have secondary containment provided, unless
it is part of a piece of equipment.
• • Materials stored outdoors will be placed on racks or pallets and covered, if possible, to
minimize contact with precipitation and runoff.
• Storage containers, drums, and bags are stored away from direct traffic routes to prevent
accidental spills.
• Materials will be adequately labeled and stored in an organized manner.
• A Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) will be available for each chemical substance used
in the workplace.
• Waste material will be properly disposed of in a timely manner.
• Temporary drip pans will be used to catch drips from valves, pipes, hoses, drains, etc, so
that the materials can be easily cleaned up or recycled before contaminating stormwater.
• Materials will be secured and have adequate lighting to prevent releases due to potential
vandalism.
e) Spill Prevention and Response Procedures (COR-040000, §I.B.4.e):
Consistent with the general permit requirements, all potential pollutants other than sediment
will be handled and disposed of in a manner that does not cause contamination of
stormwater.

Van 4 Shaft SWMP 10 Denison Mines (USA) Corp.
