Notification to an AMSO representative should be made as soon as practicable. is <br />Dependant upon the situation, this notification should occur within 8 to 24 hours. <br />• The Contractor will assume responsibility for federal, state, local and AMSO notification, <br />as required by law. <br />8.2 <br />Drip and Spill Containment <br />• Equipment brought onto HMSO premises shall be equipped with drip pans or full liner <br />containment systems to capture all drips, leaks, or spills from a piece of mechanical <br />equipment or similar types of containment devices where there is a potential for drips or <br />leaks. <br />• Where leaks do occur, attempts must be made to eliminate them by repair or improved <br />maintenance practices. <br />• Drip pans shall be checked and emptied regularly and the contents disposed of according <br />to the applicable regulatory requirements. <br />• If practicable, dikes, beans, or drainage conveyances shall be constructed around <br />equipment or containers to contain and control spills. 0 <br />• All such spills must be reported promptly to an AMSO representative. <br />8.3 <br />Waste Management <br />• All solid and liquid wastes generated by contractors on an ASO location shall be <br />handled in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal regulations. <br />• AMSO may be able to provide guidance regarding classification of wastes and the pro per <br />disposal options. <br />• No waste materials are to be left on site unless authorized by an AMSO representative. <br />• Failure to comply with environmental regulations may result in a substantial penalty. <br />• Contractors working on AMSO property are responsible for taking the necessary steps to <br />prevent pollution. <br />8.4 <br />Spill/Release Reporting <br />• All spills and/or releases from any type of equipment must be reported immediately to • <br />an AMSO representative.
