SPCC: PLAID
transported offsite for disposal at a facility licensed to receive such wastes. Liquid wastes •
contained within above-ground storage tanks will be transported offsite for disposal at a facility
licensed to receive such wastes. Solid wastes (general trash and debris) will be contained onsite
and transported offsite for disposal at a licensed landfill facility. Pit sludges and sediment will be
sampled, and based on results, disposed of in accordance with DRMS andlor BLM requirements.
The only oil products which will be present onsite during Phase I operations will be diesel fael,
hydraulic fluids, and lubricants for drilling equipment and portable generators. A refueling truck
will be used to refuel the drill rig and associated equipment as needed dining operations. As set
forth in the EPA's December 2006 SPCC Rule Amendments, mobile refuelers are exempt from
the sized secondary containment provisions specified at 40 CFR Part 112.8 (c)(2) and (11). Small
containers (less than 55 gallons) of hydraulic fluids and lubricants will be kept onsite during
drilling operations for routine equipment maintenance. These containers will be stored in large
plastic bins of sufficient volume to contain any potential leaks from the containers.
5.3 Facility Drainage
Any releases from the well pads or that may migrate from the well pads would flow into
ephemeral drainages. These ephemeral drainages are tributary to Black Sulphur Creek or Ryan
Gulch, which are tributary to Piceance Creek which is tributary the White River which is tributary
to the Green River.
