state Rea.
deadhead routes has been established between and adjacent to •
the two pit areas. Ddiibit 12-1 shows the general locations
of the deadhead routes. At the present time the dragline
strips up the hill and down the deadhead to the bottom of the
hill in both areas. In the Wadge area, the dragline utilizes
the highwall side of the pit to deadhead. In the Wolf Creek
area the dragline aPa~r,~~~ on the spoil side of the pit. 'Ihe
steep gradient at the lower errs of the Wolf Creek creates the
need far a large switchkaack to lessen the grade. In onier to
allow oontemporaneaLS reclamation adjacent to the open pit,
the deadhead route follows the pit advarroe when practical. If
the deadhead mite mist .,P,~;., further than four spoil widths
frmn the open pit (which may be the case in the Wolf Creek
Area), then topsoiling and seeding may lag behind the nest of
the area. Due to the fact that the deadhead route shifts fr~n
time to time, it cannot be aoau-ately portrayed on ES~ribit
12-1. Due to the potential for this situation, the bond has

been adjusted (see reclamation delays in these areas). •
4hr'ee auger areas are shown on Ddiibit 12-1A. 7.hese areas are

12-lla Revised 12/10/92
