amec
Earth 8 Environmental
2) AGOSA (Arequa Gulch Overburden Storage Area) Material Processing
Material processing continued throughout the week.
G) Miscellaneous
Completed work on the 9775 VLF bench widening on the existing Phase IV VLF for the
planned relocation of the existing solution lines by midweek. The bench widening and laying
the slopes back to approximately 2H: IV was performed using an excavator. Excess ore was
transported to the Phase IV VLF ore heap using two Volvo A40D haul trucks.
III) Underground Working
A) Drilling
No work performed during the week.
B) Mine Shaft/Stope Remediation
No work performed during the week.
C) Lateral/Slot Remediation
No work.performed during the week.
IV) Storm water Management Structures
A) Control Structures
No work performed during the week.
B) Best Management Practices
Best Management Practices are being performed throughout the VLF Phase 5 Project.
V) VLF Geosynthetics
A) LLDPE Geomembrane 80 mil and 100 mil
No work performed during the week.
CQA ACTIVITIES:
SUMMARY:
The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction
activities of the contractor.
Observed placement of structural fill placed between stations L2+00 (+/-) to L8+00 (+/-) approximately
75 to 225-feet left of centerline, K10+00 (+/-) to K7+00 (+/-) at or near centerline to 100-feet left of
centerline and B10+00 (+/-) to B14+00 (+/-) at or near centerline to 100-feet right of centerline.
Testing Summary
Laboratory testing continues (Gradations, Atterberg Limit, and Moisture-Density Relationships) for
previously sampled materials, throughout both shifts.
Sheet 3 of 6
VLF Weekly Report WE 05.02.09.D.doc
