JAVA <br />amec <br />Earth & Environmental <br />F) Miscellaneous <br />No work performed during the week. <br />II) Underground Working <br />A) Drilling <br />No work performed during the week.. <br />B) Mine Shaft/Stope Remediation <br />Underground working 2036, located within the planned LOB Conveyor Transfer Station #5: The <br />shaft will be located and surveyed by Ames. <br />Conveyor Transfer Station #5: Remediation completed per the Remediation Plan dated 27 April <br />2009. This drift was defined as underground working 2040 and AMEC is waiting for survey data <br />to add the working to the map and spreadsheet. <br />Underground working 2030 (Raven upper tunnel) located within the LOB Delivery Road: As the <br />cut advances the working has been backfilled (for safety) with 24-inch minus rock. It is anticipated <br />the shaft will be removed once the LOB Delivery road is near final grade. <br />Underground working 2015 (Tornado Shaft) was previously exposed. The shaft has been <br />backfilled with oversize rock to within 30-feet of existing ground surface. <br />C) Lateral/Slot Remediation <br />No work performed during shift. <br />III) Stormwater Management Structures <br />A) LOB Stormwater Culverts <br />No work performed during shift. <br />B) Roadside ditch <br />No work performed during shift. <br />C) Best Management Practices (BMP) <br />All silt fencing is in place. Best Management Practices are performed throughout the LOB project. <br />IV)LOB Geosynthetics <br />A) LLDPE Geomembrane 80 and 100 mil LLDPE <br />On Saturday (4/25/2009) the decision was made that all panels be removed with the exception of <br />the 5H: IV slope tying into the Phase IV VLF geomembrane, due to fly rock damage. Panels were <br />removed and replaced with 100 mil LLDPE single sided texture, one by one, beginning Sunday <br />(4/26/2009). Panels 1-15 were replaced with panels 1A-12A. On Monday (4/27/2009) the <br />remaining panels 16-21 were replaced with panels 13A-16A. The in-place Soil Liner Fill was re- <br />inspected and accepted prior to each new panel deployment. Tuesday (4/28/2009) all necessary <br />repairs, destructive and non-destructive testing was completed.
