amec <br />Earth & Environmental <br />screening plant was re-located southeast of the sub-station. Processing Drain Cover Fill <br />from material delivered by CC&V Mine. <br />The mine has been transporting clay to the South Cresson clay stockpile during this past <br />week. Miscellaneous <br />Work continued on the 9775 VLF bench widening on the existing Phase IV VLF for the <br />planned relocation of the existing solution lines. Widening of the bench and laying the <br />slopes back to an approximate 2H: IV. Excess ore transported to the Phase IV ore heap <br />using 4-Volvo haul trucks. <br />II. Underground Working <br />A. Drilling <br />Within the planned sediment pond, conformation drilling for underground working 3001 is <br />complete. Conformation drilling of both the north and south sides of the existing working <br />were witnessed. Eight holes were drilled to depths of 50-feet. No voids were found to the <br />depths explored. All holes were located on 4-foot centers and 4-feet from the edge of the <br />known shaft opening. <br />B. Mine Shaft/Stope Remediation <br />Underground working 3001: The shaft was excavated to a depth of 25-feet using a CAT <br />345 track excavator. Once excavated, oversize stockpiled boulders were then placed at the <br />bottom of the excavation. Finer excavated material (-12 to 24-inch) was then placed in <br />loose lifts and compacted with the excavator bucket to a depth of 9-feet from finished <br />grade (bottom of SLF). All excavation slopes were then sloped to a 1V-1.5V: 1H slope. <br />All work to date conforms to the Underground Working Remediation Plan, dated February <br />27, 2009. Remaining remediation work: Cemented rock cap or concrete cap and structural <br />fill to bottom of SLF grade. <br />C. Lateral/Slot Remediation <br />No work performed during the week <br />III. Stormwater Management Structures <br />A. Control Structures <br />No work performed during the week. <br />IV. VLF Geosynthetics <br />A. LLDPE Geomembrane 80 mil and 100 mil <br />Lone Star (Installer) has completed their MSHA training. Lone Star's submittal is pending <br />approval. Additional information is required.
