Description of structure that will be used for injection.
The Cash Mine is an historic underground mine that has produced gold and silver
since the late 1800's. The mine consists of a 760 lineal foot shaft (660 vertical feet),
nine (9) levels spaced unequally beginning at a depth of 115 vertical feet from the
collar of the shaft. Currently, the mine is accessed via an adit on the 3rd level of the
mine. Active workings exist at and above the 3rd level, with lower levels under
consideration for future exploration and development. Open and filled stopes will be
the receiving voids for the injected material from both surface and underground.
Multiple voids associated with the mining property will be backfilled from both
surface and underground.
? Is this an existing structure or will it be constructed for this purpose?
This is an existing structure. Excavation of the mine(s) began about 1872, with
mining occurring intermittently until 2004, when the current operator began
exploration and mining operations.
