Alirlik <br />amec <br />Earth 8 Environmental <br />CQA ACTIVITIES: <br />SUMMARY: <br />The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction <br />activities of the contractor. <br />Double shift work activities for the past week were overburden rock excavation and transport to the Joe <br />Dandy stockpile area. The work concentrated within the upper and mid sections of the LOB Delivery <br />Road from station 28+00(+/-) advancing to station 26+00(+/-) and stations 16+00 (+/-) to 13+00 (+/-) <br />The upper section of the LOB Delivery Road between approximate Stations 33+00 (+/-) to 30+00(+/-) has <br />been drilled and shot this week. The LOB Delivery Road, adjacent to the LOB Pad, has approximately 40 <br />feet of overburden rock left which will require additional drilling and blasting for removal. Rockbreakers <br />has been working double shifts throughout the week, depending on weather. <br />There was no SLF processing at SGOSA Dump 5. A new plant is due on site next week. <br />The mine has been transporting clay to the South Cresson clay stockpile on an intermittent basis. <br />The material screening plant located at the AGOSA (Arequa Gulch Overburden Storage Area) has been <br />non operational most of the week. <br />AMEC has witnessed the conformation drilling at underground workings 2019 and 2020. The backfilling <br />of underground working 2039 was witnessed on a full-time basis. <br />LOB Pad: Subgrade preparation has started with the importing of un-processed clay from SGOSA Dump <br />5. <br />Laboratory Testing Summary: <br />Laboratory testing continues (Gradations, Atterberg Limit, and Moisture-Density Relationships) for <br />previously sampled materials, throughout the shift. Permeability testing continues at an off-site <br />laboratory. Results from the permeability tests have indicated test results have met or exceeded the <br />requirements as specified in the project documents <br />have been obtained for testing. <br />GENERAL PROJECT ITEMS <br />Samples of clay from the South Cresson stockpile <br />Summary of Concerns: <br />No Concerns <br />Summary of Planning Items: <br />A new SLF plant will arrive sometime next week. <br />Lone Star: Additional submittals are required for approval. The liner crew has completed MSHA <br />training. <br />Underground workings remediation in the LOB Pad area and LOB Delivery Road is on going as the sites <br />are exposed and located. <br />Underground workings within the planned conveyor alignment to the LOB Pad.
