amec <br />Earth & Environmental <br />2. Sediment Collection Pond <br />Stripping has been completed. <br />C. Waste Rock to Stockpile: <br />1. VLF <br />No work performed during the week. <br />2. Sediment Collection Pond <br />Excess rock from the pond excavation has been transported for use in the underground <br />working 2039 as backfill. Additional rock has been transported to the Joe Dandy Main <br />Cresson backfill. <br />D. Cut to Fill <br />1. VLF <br />Structural fill has been on going both shifts during the week, weather permitting, in the <br />VLF from approximate Stations K6+00 to K9+00 approximately 0 to 100-feet left of <br />centerline. Fill is being hauled from the LOB Delivery Road cut area and from the <br />excavated material from the sediment pond. Benching each subsequent lift to remove <br />any frozen or unsuitable material was conducted using a Cat D-6 dozer while the fill <br />progresses. All fill placed as per method specification outlined in the Project <br />Specifications. Fill temperature checks were performed during the week for project <br />compliance. <br />2. Sediment Collection Pond: <br />All oversize rock has been transported for underground working 2039 backfill. Cut <br />from the sediment pond has been transported to the VLF fill area. Loading Volvo and <br />CAT 777's haul trucks with a Komatsu 800 track excavator. <br />E. Subgrade Preparation <br />1. VLF <br />No work performed during the week <br />2. Sediment Collection Pond <br />No work performed during the week. <br />F. SLF Processing (Material is being generated/processed for the LOB and the VLF) <br />There was no production of the SLF material located in SGOSA (Squaw Gulch <br />Overburden Storage Area) Dump 5 this past week. A new plant is due to arrive next week. <br />The material screening plant located at the AGOSA (Arequa Gulch Overburden Storage <br />Area) northwest of Ames maintenance area for processing construction materials started <br />producing "face rock" for the planned MSE walls located in the LOB conveyor alignment. <br />Processing materials has been "off and on" throughout the week. <br />The mine has been transporting clay to the South Cresson clay stockpile during this past <br />week. <br />Sheet 2 of 6 <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 04.04.09.D
