Drilling
At conveyor transfer stations 4 and 5, Rockbreakers has completed the conformation
drilling for the existing underground workings. The drilling work was on going for 2-days.
B. Mine Shaft/Stope Remediation
Some of the underground workings identified in Figure 1, Revision A, will be remediated
as a result of them being removed due to excavation to final grade. All underground
workings, whether requiring remediation or not as determined by engineering, will be
checked and verified in the field during construction activities. This is on going as the
work progresses. Additional areas have been found by Ames during construction and the
information has been forwarded to AMEC and CC&V. Field observations of the areas
during the week, where accessible, have been either backfilled or removed during the
excavation of the LOB Delivery Road.
A site visit on Monday, to evaluate the existing underground workings within the conveyor
alignment was conducted by John Lupo, P.E. (AMEC). Findings and remedial
recommendations were forwarded to AMEC and CC&V on Friday.
Lateral/Slot Remediation
No work performed this week.
III.
