amec'® <br />Earth & Environmental <br />IV. LOB Geosynthetics <br />A. LLDPE Geomembrane 80 and 100 mil LLDPE <br />Lone Star (Installer): Submittal pending approval. Additional information required for <br />approval <br />CQA ACTIVITIES: <br />SUMMARY: <br />The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction <br />activities of the contractor. <br />Work activities for the past week were overburden rock excavation and transport to the Joe Dandy haul <br />road (stockpile). The work concentrated within the upper LOB Delivery Road from Station 31+00(+/-) <br />advancing to Station 16+00(+/-) and the lower LOB Delivery Road between approximately Station <br />6+00(+/-) to Station 2+00(+/-). The drilling of the LOB Delivery Road cut for blasting has been on going <br />during the week. On Thursday and Friday AM, the drilling in the LOB Pad was completed and the area <br />was shot on Friday afternoon. As of Friday, the cut in the LOB Pad should be nearing completion. The <br />LOB Delivery Road, adjacent to the LOB Pad, has approximately 50 to 60 feet of overburden rock left <br />requiring blasting and removal. NOTE: Rockbreakers now has 6 track drills on site. <br />Night shift work and day shift work consisted of overburden excavation from the LOB Delivery Road to <br />the Joe Dandy haul road (stockpile). Cut to fill activities on Friday day shift in the LOB Delivery Road <br />from Station 35+00(+/-) to Station 37+50(+/-). The fill material was placed by method specification as <br />outlined in the Project Documents. <br />There was no SLF processing at SGOSA Dump 5. Another clay screening plant is due to arrive sometime <br />next week. <br />Laboratory Testing Summary: <br />Laboratory testing continues (Gradations, Atterberg Limit, and Moisture-Density Relationships) for <br />previously sampled materials, throughout the shift. Permeability testing continues at an off-site <br />laboratory. <br />Two samples of Granular Filter Material from AGOSA (Arequa Gulch Overburden Storage Area) have <br />been completed (GFM-3 & 4) and show results as failing. AMES is in the process of making adjustments <br />to the screening plant. The samples will be re-tested. <br />GENERAL PROJECT ITEMS <br />Summary of Concerns: <br />No Concerns <br />Summary of Planning Items: <br />A new SLF plant will arrive sometime next week. <br />Lone Star: Additional submittals are required for approval. <br />Sheet 4 of 11 LOB Weekly Report WE 03.21.09.1)
