AdVik <br />ame <br />Earth & Environmental <br />Sheet 2 of 8 <br />2. Sediment Collection Pond <br />Stripping has been completed. <br />C. Waste Rock to Stockpile: <br />1. VLF <br />All oversized material located in the fill from Stations K4+00 to 8+00 and 0 to 100 foot <br />left was pushed out of the fill area, stockpiled and will be removed to Dump 4 at a later <br />date. <br />2. Sediment Collection Pond <br />Excess rock from the pond excavation has been stockpiled for future removal. <br />D. Cut to Fill <br />1. VLF <br />Continued placing structural fill, including night shift, in the VLF from approximate <br />Sta. K4+00 to K8+00 approximately 0 to 100-feet left of centerline throughout the <br />week. Fill is being hauled from the LOB/Delivery Road cut and sediment pond <br />excavation. Benching each subsequent lift to remove any frozen or unsuitable material <br />was conducted using a Cat D-6 dozer while the fill progresses. All fill placed as per <br />method spec. as outlined in the Project Specifications. <br />Discussions with Ames took place regarding the removal of unsuitable materials, <br />namely oversize rock and method spec for the structural fill. <br />2. Sediment Collection Pond: <br />Night Work: Excavation continued during the week. Cut to fill to VLF Station K4+00 <br />to K8+00, 0 to 100-feet left. All oversize rock stockpiled for future haul to Dump 4. <br />E. Subgrade Preparation <br />1. VLF <br />No Activities <br />2. Sediment Collection Pond <br />No Activities <br />F. SLF Processing (Material is being generated/processed for the LOB and the VLF) <br />Production of the SLF material located in Dump 5 continued intermittently at the clay plant <br />during the week. Continued maintenance problems resulted in reduced production for the <br />week. Quality of produced material was not affected. A new plant is due on site during the <br />week ending March 21 st. <br />The materials screening plant to process construction materials has been operating <br />intermittently during the week. The plant is located at "Arequa Process Area" northwest of <br />Ames maintenance area. <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 03.14.09.D
