AWN <br />ame <br />Earth & Environmental <br />CQA ACTIVITIES: <br />SUMMARY: <br />The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction <br />activities of the contractor. AMEC witnessed the delivery of the 80 mil and 100 mil LLDPE <br />geomembrane liner on Wednesday and Thursday. <br />Observed work activities during the week within the LOB/Delivery Road from Station 30+00 advancing <br />to Station 16+00. All work performed was cut to Dump 4. Continue drilling the LOB/Delivery Road cut <br />for planned blasting next week. NOTE: Rockbreakers will be drilling on the LOB Delivery Road cut this <br />Saturday. AMEC is not required to be on site for this work. <br />Night shift work and day shift work consisted of cut to fill from the LOB/Delivery Road, Approximate <br />Station 2+00 to 8+00 to the fill in the VLF from Station K4+00 to K8+00, 0-100 feet left. <br />Intermittent SLF processing at Dump 5 due to continued mechanical problems has resulted in reduced <br />production. Quality of produced material was not affected. A different plant is due on site during the <br />week of the 21 st of March. Saturday work was postponed due to Rockbreakers drilling schedule. <br />Testing Summary: <br />Testing has continued this past week with additional samples of clay gathered from Dump 5, South <br />Crescent clay storage and from a stockpile of augmented clay with bentonite from the previous Phase of <br />construction. This sample is located in the Arequa Process area. Permeability testing is in progress on <br />samples sent last week. Progress on the laboratory work is going well. Tentative results of SLF-8, 9 and <br />12 indicate the fastest result is 7E-07 @ +2% and run at 5 PSI.
