Exhibit L - Reclamation Costs
Simultaneously with the extraction of the remaining portions of Tracts A, B, and
C, will be the concurrent fill of Tract D, as iterated above. This will ultimately
liberate the 11.84± Acres allocated in the SSP for the existing basin at Tract D in
this manner:
- 4.14 Acres upon completion of Tract A - Planned Area of Extraction
- 2.37 Acres upon completion of Tract B - Planned Area of Extraction
- 6.51 Acres total reduction of exposed groundwater from fill of Tract D
Therefore, immediately prior to the extraction of Tract C - Planned Area of
Extraction, exposed surface acres of groundwater will be 109.08± acres,
determined as follows:
108.56± (above)
- 4.14± Acres - fill of Tract D
104.42± Acres - balance
+ 7.00± Tract B
111.42± Acres - balance
- 2.34± Acres - fill of Tract D
109.08± upon completion of Tract B
Prior to the completion of Tract C, additional water may be necessary, however,
the total projected water demand based upon expected elevation and extent of
exposed groundwater of the final basins is 128.40± acres + 7.00± acres, or a total
of 135.40± acres of potential exposed groundwater (refer to Exhibit F -
Reclamation Plan Map). Based upon the water available in the SSP of 125.08±
acres, is a difference of - 7.6± percent, very late in the operation. However,
approximately 92.4% of Area D will be backfilled as well, liberating nearly 10.94
acres of the 11.84 acres once exposed, or a total of 136.02 acres of available
water. Therefore, the anticipated final area of exposed ground water of
135.40 acres is met under the combined SSP and revised Mining and Reclamation
Plans of this Amendment. Regardless, additional water is available in water shares
should the unlikely need arise.
Varra Companies, Inc.
