The Elkton workings area is considered part of the LOB area.
• Mechanical problems slowed progress during the week. The drillers had a
total of three rigs on site, two operating and one down due to mechanical
problems.

aab .? . Mine Shaft/Stope Remediation
• AMEC completed a follow-up check of mine workings #18, #19 and #20
within the LOB Pad area. Remediation of these mine workings was not
started by the end of the week. The mine working locations are shown in
the Attached Figure 1.
• Mine Working No. 27 located within the limit of the LOB/Delivery Road
left of Station 38+00 was backfilled during the week. This mine working
does not require remediation per engineering (John Lupo) but was checked
in the field by Amec (J. Namlick) as the location was backfilled. The
opening to the mine working was initially backfilled with oversize and then
closed during subsequent fill lifts across the location. This location is shown
on the attached Figure 1.
• Some of the mine workings identified in Figure 1 will be remediated as a
result of the locations being removed following excavation to grade. All
mine workings, whether requiring remediation or not as determined by
engineering, will be checked and verified in the field during construction
activities.
Sheet 3 of 10
LOB Weekly Report WE 02.21.09
