recommends changing the wording to note that re-vegetation success will be equal to or better than the <br />surrounding area as determined by DRMS. <br />Rule 3 Reclamation Standards <br />DRMS notes the post mine land use as wildlife habitat meets the requirements of Rule 3.1.1(1). <br />Rule 3.1.5 Materials handling: <br />It is noted that grading within the mine area, backfilling, drill hole sealing and slopes meet the requirements of <br />this rule. Please clarify how any materials found to be above background in the office / ore bin area will be <br />handled for final reclamation to meet Rule 3.1.5 (2) and (5). <br />Rules 3.1.6 and 7 Water is addressed within Exhibits G and T. <br />Rule 3.1.8 Wildlife <br />CDOW comments have been forwarded to Nuvemco with a request that any correspondence be copied the <br />Division for the permit file. Although big game habitat seems to be marginally impacted there appears to be an <br />issue with bats in historical mines. <br />Rule 3.1.9 Topsoiling: <br />(3), (4) and (5) Please clarify what measures will be instituted to protect topsoil from wind and rain erosion as <br />noted in these sections. <br />3.1.10 Revegetation is addressed within the reclamation plan. <br />Exhibit F, Reclamation Map: <br />The reclamation map only addresses the mine area. Please provide a map of equal detail for the office / ore bin <br />area. <br />Exhibit G. Water: <br />It is noted that no groundwater has been encountered in wells drilled. However, it is noted there is a potential <br />however small that waters may have collected in old mine workings. Please provide details of an initial plan <br />should waters be encountered. The plan should state: that under no circumstances will Nuvemco discharge <br />waters to the surface without DRMS written consent. The consent would be based on a DRMS review of water <br />chemistry, estimated amounts and contingent upon obtaining all required permits from local, state and federal <br />agencies. <br />Exhibit H, Wildlife: <br />The exhibit meets the requirements and contact with CDOW has been noted.
