Geotechnicai Evaluation of Mine-Induced Earthquakes on Bruce Park Dam
Bowie Resources, Limped
June 2002
Section 6 -Recommendations
Based on the results of the evaluations performed and documented in this report, we
reconunend the following:
Data should be collected from the piezometers and inclinometers in the existing
landslide at least three times each year. The data collection should be in the spring as
soon as the snow melts and access to the instruments is available, in July or August
and in late October or early November before the snow restricts access to the area.
2. The collected data should be tabulated and plotted on a continuous time scale so that
changes in water levels and movement, if any, of the landslide can be easily
identified. The data collection should be performed and reviewed by a Colorado
registered Professional Engineer who has experience with dams, landslides, and
seismicity.
Q2-0~ 3: GeattshnitJl E~akution of 11ixInduced Earthquake
GEI Consultants, Inc. 27
